They came to America with a dream in mind, to find opportunity and thats exactly what Carmelo found through hard work and many struggles at an early age.
Carmelo has always been an entrepreneur, even in his childhood. As a young boy, I dared to take paths that my school mates did not. While they would play after school or break dance on the weekends, I was busy starting and running my own little businesses. I sold Avon door to door along with other products. I also had several paper routes with the Orange County Register, a bike repair business and of course my own little landscaping business in the apartment complex where we lived. I got picked on and made fun of quite a bit by the other children. But I was okay with it and of course having the nicest bike in the neighborhood along with money in my pocket made it all worthwhile.
After graduating from high school, Carmelo pursued a college education and received an A. A. degree. At which time, he became aware of college graduates with higher degrees that felt under paid or were unable to find work. All of a sudden the idea of getting an MBA and working for someone else did not make sense anymore. It was at this point in Carmelos life that he remembered that as a young boy he had always owned a business. However, starting a business in the grown up world was not as easy as anticipated, especially after a 4-year career as a Domestic/International Travel Agent ended with me being broke and unable to start my own Travel Agency as planned.
Given the emphasis Carmelo had placed on personal development at an early age, by reading self help books, listening to motivational tapes, watching many inspiring videos and attending numerous seminars, Carmelo was able to quickly climb the ladder of success in real estate sales with Remax. After achieving the Top Ten Status for sales with the board of realtors in the Inland Empire Carmelo was introduced to Prepaid Legal Services Inc. through a video.
Due to the fact that Carmelo was earning a great income but had no time to enjoy it is what inspired him to take a serious look at the amazing opportunity the video had presented. The entire time that I was in real estate sales I felt it nearly impossible to take a weekend off, not to mention a whole week off, because I felt that my existing escrows would fall apart in my absence. I have always believed like J. Paul Getty, that one percent of many peoples effort is called leverage and much better than earning one hundred percent out of your own efforts. When I was introduced to Prepaid legal, I realized that both concepts of leverage and equal justice applied. I was sold immediately.
Thanks to an amazing team and company, fourteen years later Carmelo is a Platinum Executive Director, a six figure a year income Ring earner, a Platinum Jacket earner and an Inaugural Millionaire Club member with Prepaid Legal Services which has afforded him the opportunity to take his family on trips all over the world. I have been blessed with the financial and time freedom to have visited the 7 continents and over 125 nations. I have also extensively toured in my Motor home throughout Canada, Mexico and most of the United States of America all by the age of 38. I feel very blessed Im also now a part of the Travelers Century Club!
When asked whats next Carmelo said with a smile 6 more stripes on my Platinum Jacket, the 7 figure a year income Ring, and to visit the rest of the world of course
